Martedi 17 settembre 2013

All’ingresso intravediamo i bambini seduti sui banchi di scuola.

Live from Bangalore! We wake up early for our second lesson day. After the adventure in the traffic of the city, we arrive at IFIM. Today we have two lessons: one about Banking system in India with Mr Venkatesh Sheshdri and the other one with Prof. Raj Chakraborthy about Indian law. The teachers are smiling, enthusiastic and helpful. Every day we discover new aspects of India! After less spicy lunch (luckily) we leave with the bus: direction  NGO- Abilashrayam. The travel is very long but what is going to happen will be unforgettable. We stop in front of a little blue house, that is very nice. It doesn’t seem to be orphanage! We all sit down on the floor, we introduce ourselves and finally we start to play with children. They teach us some games and we give them some colours and drawing papers.  Sangeetha, Rosy, Ranya, Amptha, Pavan, Monika, Maram, Sagar, Vivek, Shyam, Sharath, Nishmitha, Sushmitha, Naraim, Srmiva… they are happy and smiling children, despite their family situations.
This NGO is a private organization that survives thanks to charity contributions and that hosts children until they are 21 years old. The NGO guarantees them food, education and clothes. The time is over, the bus is waiting for us so we have only the time to say goodbye to the children.
It was beautiful to have the opportunity to be children once again!
The fourth day in Balgalore is over, what will we discover tomorrow?!?
